How slots are allocated
First payment wins. Every future window is open for booking at any time — whoever pays first for a given window gets it. There is no incumbent renewal priority, no waitlist priority, and no advance reservations for anyone.
Two ways to hold continuity if you already have a slot:
- Book a longer term upfront (e.g. a 3-month or 6-month package) — this locks the sequence of windows in one payment.
- Renew as early as possible into the next window — the moment your current term starts, the following window is already bookable. Waiting until expiry-adjacent is the failure mode.
If two payments arrive near-simultaneously for the same window, the earlier paid_at wins; the later payment is refunded immediately.
Position within a tier
Slots within a tier (for example the five Headline positions) are ordered by remaining time — the sponsor whose term ends latest sits at the top, and the order shifts as terms expire and as renewals push end dates further out. Booking a longer package (3-month, 6-month, 12-month) or renewing early pushes your position higher for the extended horizon.
Coherent with first-paid-wins: whoever paid first for a given window got the window; whoever committed to a longer horizon sits higher within that window's tier for as long as their remaining time is greatest.
Waitlist activity

Recent paid sponsorships
Every sponsorship we've sold, public ledger. Transparency about what's paid placement and what isn't is the whole point.

Slots go month by month unless a longer package was booked. The paid_at column is the tie-breaker under our first-payment-wins policy — see How slots are allocated.
Editorial firewall
Sponsorship moves a listing up the page and adds a chip. It does not change the review, the grade, or the KYC tagging. If a sponsored provider's posture deteriorates, the grade drops and the chips change accordingly. We refund unused term pro-rata if you want out.
No double-dip on affiliate. Sponsored entries link DIRECT to the provider — not through our /go/<slug> referral. Non-sponsored entries route through /go/ as usual.
Audit depositHeadline + Front-Page
Headline and Front-Page applicants without a current xmr.club grade of B or higher fund a refundable 0.1 XMR audit deposit alongside the sponsorship payment. The deposit covers live testing — signup, deposit, distribution, support response, fee-vs-quote reconciliation.
- Pass — audit confirms operator passes the rubric at the tier they applied for. Deposit is applied to the first sponsorship period.
- Fail — audit finds material discrepancies. Sponsorship payment is refunded in full; deposit is retained as the audit cost.
- Withdraw before audit — applicant pulls the request before testing starts. Full refund of both the sponsorship payment and the deposit.
