Fedimint extends Chaumian eCash with a federated trust model — instead of trusting one mint operator, funds are held by a threshold federation of guardians. Even if a minority go rogue, funds remain safe. Settled on Lightning. Production-ready, multiple federations live including Fedi.xyz, Geyser. Same privacy benefit as Cashu but with reduced operator risk.
